She strives to make science engaging, hands-on, and exciting. With a strong love for mathematics, Angela is equally passionate about helping students understand math in ways that make sense to them, building both skill and curiosity along the way.

Cristina Diaz is a mother of four, a homeschool educator of over 13 years, and a youth pastor with 20 years of ministry experience. She holds a Bachelor of Theology and has spent two decades discipling and walking alongside young people in both their academic and spiritual growth. Having homeschooled her children through every stage — including one graduate now pursuing pre-med studies — Cristina brings seasoned experience and heartfelt dedication to the classroom. As a child who once struggled with reading, she understands the challenges students may face. Discovering her love for books transformed her into a lifelong, passionate reader. Today, she delights in helping students uncover the types of stories and writing that awaken their own love for learning. With a whimsical and expressive writing style, Cristina teaches reading and writing at Freedom Christian Academy with the hope that every student grows in confidence, discovers their voice, and learns to value writing as a meaningful and lifelong skill.

Sarah Lehmann brings a unique blend of academic experience and heart-centered leadership to the classroom, holding a B.A. in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s in Counseling. With 31 years of ministry experience and over two decades dedicated to children’s ministry, her teaching style is defined by an encouraging approach that focuses on building student confidence and unlocking their full potential. She views Language Arts as the vital foundation for critical thinking and effective communication—an essential tool for navigating the world. This commitment to lifelong learning is reflected in her own family’s success; as a veteran homeschool mother of four, she has mentored her children through every academic milestone, seeing one through a Master’s degree and three into their current university pursuits.

Susan DeFillipo is a proud mom, grandma, and great-grandma who walks out loud in her faith and humor. She likes to say that she started teaching at the age of 5 as her mom was a teacher and she enjoyed being her assistant! After growing up in this amazing environment, Valley Forge Christian College was a natural fit where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Bible, double-majoring in youth ministries and children’s education. Three favorite career choices have been as a teacher in a youth detention home, as a pre-school director and teacher for over a decade, and as a homeschool mom to her 3 successful younger sons. Now with a lifetime of ministering and teaching, Susan has a keen desire to encourage each child toward a life of learning. Kindergarten promises to be a roaring start to their future!
